Green Pastures and Still Waters
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture, John 10:9 KJV
Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God, 1 Corinthians 4:1 KJV
It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter, Proverbs 25:2 KJV
Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked? Ecclesiastes 7:13 KJV
There is so much Wisdom "from Above" in those four Scrips that you may not yet have found. "Found" is a very important word for a sincere seeker. Many years ago I was listening to a teaching and the speaker said "there is a finding" and I cannot tell you how much relief I actually experienced upon just hearing that statement, even though I was familiar with the verse. My primary Mission is to distinguish between Missions of Jesus and The Christ.
My entire work here is to interpret ZOE as Jesus' pattern-life, not theology.
I am come that they might have life (G2222), and that they might have it more abundantly, John 10:10b KJV
We'll get to the theif in a bit. Where do we find that Life, that Zoe, G2222, that Jesus came to distribute. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it, Matthew 7:13-14 KJV.
One very important point about the word translated "strait" it is Strong's G4728 stenos, from the base of G2476: G2476 histēmi Thayer Definition:
1) to cause or make to stand, to place, put, set
1a) to bid to stand by, [set up]
This website is about Jesus and my Journey as a sincere, diligent seeker and finally a "Finder". Yes, finding is actually a Station that we can obtain, you can read about it in my story. This site is not about me, but as I was putting my insights together, I realized that I can best share my insights and revelations by illustrating all that I went through and hopefully can save you many a detour and expecite your Findings moving forward.
What is your Mark that you are striving for? What are you aligning all your spiritual effort toward?
Hard to hit a target, a mark, if you haven't clearly defined it, submitted to it and work your study around perfecting it, right.
I'll share mine, Matthew 5:48.
If "nobody's perfect" how do we strive for perfection in today's world? Click Here to visit our Glossary get a taste of the many spiritual meanings of what is being discussed among those that "would be perfect". "Perfection" in the New Testament is not a static state of flawlessness, but a dynamic process of Alignment(s) leading to Maturity.
This captures the distinction between the missions of Jesus and The Christ, the definition of Zoe as a pattern-life, and the technical breakdown of the "Strait Gate" (G4728) as a foundation for standing in the Vertical Plane.
The Pasture of Jesus: Nourishment, Safety, and the Vertical Rx
Jesus reframes the entire question of inheritance by locating safety, salvation, and “pasture” in Himself: “I am the door… by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture” (John 10:9). In Ascension Hill terms, the Pasture is not a place we abandon—it is the Shepherd’s care. The movement is through the Door He opens.
Jesus as Daleth: The Door to the Vertical
In John 10, the movement is not “sheep leaving pasture on their own,” but the Shepherd entering by the Door, the gatekeeper opening, and the Shepherd leading the sheep out. Through Him, they “go in and out and find pasture.”
Before the Resurrection—as the Son of Man—Jesus presents Himself as the Door. In Hebrew, this is Daleth (ד), the fourth letter. It represents the doorway, the transition, and the Heart Center (the midpoint of the seven chakras). It is the "strait gate" (G4728, stenos). This root connects to G2476 (histēmi), meaning "to cause to stand" or "to set up." Entering by the Door is the Alpha move; it is the first entry into the Vertical Plane, establishing the seeker in a position to stand lawfully within a new destiny.
The Mystery of the Pasture (Nómē)
Once you pass through the Door, you don't just "arrive"—you find Pasture (nóme, G3542). This is the Kingdom in its nourishing mode. It is the environment where Zoe (G2222) is distributed—not as a theology, but as a pattern-life. The Pasture functions as an internalized, vertical promise consisting of:
Your Rx: The spiritually prescribed food and medicinal revelation that heals your specific stage of soul development.
Your Metron: The measured provision assigned to your specific capacity. True safety is found here, because what is not measured or is premature can become poison.
Vertical Safety: Salvation as preservation from horizontal collapse and predation. It is the only place where Zoe truly lives.
The Master-Key: Navigation "In and Out"
John 10:9 is the master-key to spiritual navigation and the final form of what the Merkabah traditions sought. It describes the ordered movement between planes—learning how to access the Presence and return to the field without perishing. This is the "House" model (Ezekiel 43) in action: Jesus gives the access (the Door), and Christ defines the measure (the Pasture).
The Name of Jesus: The Full Stature
To understand the authority of the Door and the provision of the Pasture, we must look at the Name of Jesus through the lens of His full stature:
Hebrews 1 & 2: He is the radiance of God’s glory and the express image of His person, upholding all things by the word of His power (Heb 1:3). Though made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, He is now crowned with glory and honor.
John 17:3: The definition of eternal life—that they might know the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom He has sent.
Philippians 2:9-10: God hath highly exalted Him and given Him a name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow.
Practice Door-Orientation
Don't let the Pasture remain symbolic. Begin your day by affirming: “I enter by the Door; I hear His voice; I will follow.” This aligns your effort toward the Mark of maturity (Matthew 5:48) and ensures you are feeding on the vertical nourishment prescribed for your journey.
I'll probably insert the distinction between Jesus and the Christ in several places on this site to allow you to SEE the difference. The Literal Version of Philippians 1:10 states that we are to learn to distinquish between things that differ, it is part of rightly dividing the Logos as an Approved Workman, 2 Timothy 2:15. I will guess that most if not all the Christian books you have do not make this important distinction? Open and study the text below to learn why this is important. In-Joy, mdw.
The Distinction of Jesus vs. Christ. The Foundation vs. Completion
1. Jesus the Chief Cornerstone — Foundation found around 1,000 times in the New Testament vs Christ with 500+ mentions. Note: The exact number depends on the translation.
NOTE: Jesus even extracted from the culture, all ethnicity, tribalism, and politics, is a standalone Evergreen Principle. The Power of the wire without the insulation.
Jesus as Son of Man is the Author and Finisher of our faith as mankind, preparing us for our ascension into the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus as Son of God pre-pairs us for ascension into Christ and the Kingdom of God.
“Built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.” (Ephesians 2:20)
Architectural Insight: The cornerstone was the first stone laid, massive and squared, aligning the entire structure. Every other stone was measured against it.
Spiritual Insight: Jesus, the Son of Man, is this cornerstone. He is the foundation of our faith, the beginning of alignment, the measure of truth and righteousness.
Stage of Maturity:
From Nepios, to Teknion, to Teknon: Jesus brings us into sonship as children of God.
At this stage, we learn obedience, trust, and love. We are aligned to the foundation.
Chakra Correlation: The heart centre awakens here. It is the seat of compassion, alignment, and measure.
Evergreen Note (mdw): Too many teachings leap ahead to “Christ consciousness” while bypassing Jesus as the Chief Cornerstone. Ascension begins with Jesus. Without Him, there is no foundation, no alignment, no measure.
2. Christ the Capstone / Keystone — Completion
“…until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:13)
Architectural Insight: The keystone is the wedge‑shaped stone at the top of an arch. It locks all stones into place, bearing the weight of the structure. The capstone is the final stone placed at the summit, completing the building.
Spiritual Insight: Christ is this keystone. He is universal, dissolving earthly distinctions: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28). Chirst is Many, I Cor 12:12
Stage of Maturity:
Huios (mature son): Christ brings us into full maturity, the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. This is not childhood but completion.
NOTE: Huios is Strong's # 5207
Chakra Correlation: The crown centre blazes here. It is the seat of unity, universality, and completion.
Evergreen Note (mdw): Christ is not sentimental unity. It is radical crucifixion of the flesh (Galatians 5:24), the dissolution of pride, coveting, and division: polarity. Christ is the capstone of maturity.Jesus’ Fountain – The Living Source
Jesus’ Fountain – The Living Source
Greek word: pēgḗ (#4077) – a spring, a fountain, a source that flows upward.
Living Waters: Unlike the cistern, the fountain flows. It is not dug down into the earth but springs upward into everlasting life.
Transition of Worthiness: Jesus says the time is now when the Father seeks such to be deemed worthy (John 4:23–24). You use “worthy” instead of “worship,” because the Father Jesus refers to is not Jehovah, but the Spiritual Father who calls seekers into maturity.
Spiritual Ascent: To drink from this fountain is to move beyond tribal, and animal consciousness into causal life. It is the beginning of quickening—the shift to cooperating with the Spirit in the Ascension Process.
Evergreen Note (mdw): The fountain is not about endless study but about living participation. It is the Spirit’s gift, springing up within,
transforming thirst into fullness.
3. The Crucifixion of the Flesh — Moving from the Indivi-dual to the Path to Unity and Universalism
Galatians 5:24: “They who are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its susceptibilities and covetings.” NOTE: the phrase "have crucified" is G4717
stauroō From G4716; to impale on the cross; figuratively to extinguish (subdue) passion or selfishness: - crucify.
Cause of Unity: Crucifixion of the flesh removes pride, coveting, division.
Result of Unity: Galatians 3:28 — no earthly distinctions remain.
Other Scriptures:
Romans 6:6 — old self crucified, body of sin rendered powerless.
Galatians 2:20 — “I have been crucified with Christ…”
Colossians 3:5 — “Put to death whatever belongs to your earthly nature.”
Colossians 3:11 — “Christ is all, and is in all.”
1 Corinthians 12:13 — “We were all baptized by one Spirit into one body.”
Evergreen Note (mdw): Unity is not the absence of difference—it is the death of division. Christ is all, and in all.
4. Ascension Ladder — From Foundation to Completion
Jesus the Cornerstone: Foundation, nepios, teknion, teknon stage, heart centre.
Christ the Capstone: Completion, huios stage, crown centre: Huios.
Unity in Christ: Crucifixion of the flesh → dissolution of divisions/polarities → one body, one Spirit.
5. Evergreen Commentary (mdw)
Jesus is the Chief Cornerstone — the beginning, our Measure, the alignment, individuality.
Christ is the Capstone/Keystone — the completion, the unity, the universality.
Ascension is the journey from foundation to completion, from nepios, teknion, teknon to huios, from root to heart to crown.
Leaving Jacob’s Well is only the first step. Ascension Hill is about rising into maturity, built on the Foundation of Jesus, completed in the Christ.
This module now gives you two cornerstone teachings for Ascension Hill:
1. Leaving Jacob’s Well (tribal consciousness → living waters).
2. Jesus vs. Christ (foundation → completion, teknon → huios, heart → crown).
VERY IMPORTANT: when reading a scripture or especially a book that quotes scripture, always look and see who is speaking, the Foundation, the Chief Corner, Jesus Son of Man, or the Capstone, the Keystone the Christ. Many times even Spiritually mature writers mix these important distinctions. Jesus was never referred to as Jesus Christ untill AFTER the Resurrection. Again, Christ is neither male nor female-no gender, no ethnicity/race, and is Many, see
Gal 3:28, Col 3:11, 1 Cor 12:12, 13
1. Jesushood 2. Christhood 3. Lordship - Each stage requires Fulfillment and we cannot climb up some other way or take the Kingdom by force.
