For now [in this time of imperfection] we see in a mirror dimly [a blurred reflection, a riddle, an enigma], but then [when the time of perfection comes we will see reality] face to face. Now I know in part [just in fragments], but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known [by God],  (1Corinthians 13:12 Amplified Translation)

Below is the Ladder that Leads to perfection, which is fulness, completion of a stage and preparation for the next stage.  Remember, we cannot climb up some other way.  So the next step also serves as the Guardian of the Threshold.
You cannot  sit in a certain posture, meditate, nor "affirm" your way over or around the Cross, we must each take up our Cross Matt 10:38. These steps are listed in 1 Corinthians 13 verses 4-11 culminating or perfecting in verse 12. Literally becoming Equally Yoked with Jesus, See Matthew 11:29,30 and being Rooted and Grounded in Love, Ephesians 3:17 a prerequisite to comprehension...v18.

Below is what I refer to as a Silo of Scripture, this case is (1 Corinthians Chapter 13).  These verses are a Ladder to our next Level of spiritual Stature.

Scroll through the Silo to make these aspects of Love family, and get to know them until they become Flesh. We are really stuck here because we cannot go forward without assimilating them as part of our Inner Man, our New Man: moving from the image to the Likeness of our Creator, (Ephesians 3:10).

The Key to this chapter and the New Testament Gospels & Epistles is right here in plain Sight if you can SEE it.  First, look at the Greek word translated "darkly/dimly" G135 ainigma:  Thayer Definition: 1) an obscure saying, enigma, riddle.  Why is it obscure, or a riddle, a puzzle? Because we only have the part that we needed to traverse to the next Level and each Level costs us.  Have you ever made a commitment to the Spirit of Truth yet?  Seriously, if not, that is one of the Foundational Stones, and like Peter I will never tire of putting you in remembrance, 2 Peter 1:12 that we cannot climb up some other way: Purification, Clarification, Illumination. That is elementary. If you have not made that step, try the Garment of Truth on for size and see if it doesn't cost you.

Living the Truth will be more tested than any other aspect of our walk, if you miss the mark , just repent and start again.  Look at your degree of intention to live the truth, was it 100%?  Keep working this one in, you'll get there  and all your efforts will be Noted.

Second, look at the word translated "know" G1097 ginosko which is knowledge of the Divine, Sacred knowledge, both the bread of our Necessity and the bread of our convenience, (Proverbs 30:7,8). It is just what we need to fill up what is lacking, wanting, or falling behind at whatever Level of Spiritual stature/maturity that we currently occupy, and just the amount that we need to encourage us to seek yet a bit Deeper and Higher.  

Warning, this Level of knowledge can puff you up, 1 Cor 8:1 but it is not the gnosis that puffs but the 'puffee', us, because if we are still seeing a blurred reflection and know in part(s), it is us that Divine Knowledge makes "haughty".  So number 5 on the list, 1 Cor 13:4 that will be Dealt with by the Cross in our lives.  Here is how it works in the so-called real world, I study night and day go to endless bible studies and get a bit cocky and "know-it-allish" and then meet someone whose grasp on the Word causes me to know that I don't even know. Or it could be some form of embarrassment that "happens" at our most puffed up point and you absolutely know Who orchestrated it!

Here is a saying that I discovered early in my Journey, now this only applies to Travelers, casual inquirers do not need to sweat this, but if you are committed to the Narrow Way and have counted the cost and decided that the Treasure in the Field is worth the Price, you can count on a few of these along your way:

"God is fixin't to fix a fix to fix you with and if you "fix" that fix He will just fix another fix to fix you with." Sometimes it is convenient and we see the step, the next attribute to become flesh in our life and it is an easy assimilation, most of them are not,  and they will come back to be tested at 30, 60, 100-fold Levels in our walk until the Logos becomes Flesh and takes up Its Abode in our purified Temple:

May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love,  (Ephesians 3:17 Amplified Classic+).

Since every Visitor that is a serious Seeker is at a different stage of their Spiritual growth Path leading to the Mark:  Matthew 5:48.  If you have not already done so, regardless of where you are at on your Journey, if you haven't done so, STOP right here and make a commitment to the Truth in your life as a Reality; no longer G1492, data, simply facts, but G1097 ginosko, Divine intimate knowledge that will (from the time of this Landmark of your commitment to the Truth as your new way of life) continue to be a lamp to your feet until the Daystar arises in your heart.  (Psalms 119:105  and 2nd Peter 1:19).

But the path of the [uncompromisingly] just and righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines more and more (brighter and clearer) until [it reaches its full strength and glory in] the perfect day [to be prepared], (Proverbs 4:18 AMPC+).

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the [sons-G5043=teknon] of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; (Philippians 2:15 KJV).

WARNING, ALERT!! STORM is on the WAY:  And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the [word-G3056-Logos] that was sown in their hearts. And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended  (Mark 4:15-17 KJV). 

Here is a KEY to all scripture:  If any man has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him perceive and comprehend. And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you-and more [besides] will be given to you who hear. For to him who has will more be given; and from him who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away [by force], (Mark 4:23-25 AMPC+) The KEY = the ones with nothing are the ones not carefully listening and developing their understanding by giving THOUGHT AND STUDY TO THE LOGOS that they are privileged to hear. 

NOTE: Stony Ground is G4075 petrōdēs, the Rock Jesus told Peter he would build upon and represents Concentrated Teaching, but we for sure need to be rooted and grounded in Agape before we are ready for these Esoterics, we do not need them at this stage, and as Sacred as they are, they can become wayside ground for us before our ripening. 

You really do get what you pay for. If we are not willing to "sell all and buy the field" we are not entitled to the Treasure in the Field, (see Matt 13:44).

But those (seeds) on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. Luke 8:15 KJV

Note: patience is number 15 on the list, (1 Corinthians 13:7).
